Avai Axehand was born to Beardor Axehand and Seria Axehand, under a very traditional military family under the Grand Kingdom of Urguan in which all males are expected to go into military service after becoming a youngbeard, with the females expected to raise the dwarves, while the males were away in service to Urguan, with the family being known for fighting in such events such as The War of The Beards and Third Urguan-Oren War. However, this prideful nature did not hinder Avai's parents from being great figure-heads to him, as they raised him in a healthy Dwarven environment, to the point were him and his father shared an unbreakable bond whenever he was able to visit, this fair life was enough to inspire Avai to serve once he becomes of age.
This dream of service to his country and family tradition would all change however. Once Avai had become a beardling, his responsibilities grew more and more, as he began to travel around, running errands for his family, he began to experience the world of trade and merchantry, which would soon sway him towards the ideas of adventure and profit.
This change in careers would all reach its peak when Avai confessed to his parents of his disinterest in military service and his dream of wealth and trade, believing he can bring the Axehand family name to fame, even believing he can turn it into a clan. This of course, angered his parents, they raised their son to be ready to serve Urguan, not trade. Soon, the arguing and fighting amongst his family would reach its middle ground, when Avai's father decided to cut him a deal and of respect for his son. His father would give him permission to travel Almaris and trade and or become an adventurer, however, he was not allowed to come back unless he returned with a large sum of wealth or gave up on his adventures and went into military service. Avai reluctantly agreed and set off to prove his family what he can do.
