Henry Kurtz was born and raised outside Providence as one of the many sons in a long line of heirs to a merchant family. His situation, right out the gate, was one full of constant peril as he was considered to be the least of his siblings. Henry was soon sent off to a chef within the walls of Providence. It was there where he had picked upon the culinary arts. It was also there where Henry would have better access to church, resulting in him becoming a devout yet simple Canonist. Before moving out of the city of Providence, Henry's master had received an untimely death. From then on, Henry found himself travelling outside in an unfamiliar world.
