Francisco "Francis" Navaro was born into a somewhat wealthy family, with father Andrés Navaro and mother Teresa in Savoy. The parents was kind to the boy, and the boy grew up interested in war and the sciences. But, disaster struck when the boy was 15. Andrés, his father, was murdered while traveling with Teresa and Francisco. He was stabbed after getting in a fight with a trader. The trader followed his family into a dark corner near their apartment and stabbed him. Francisco believes the government of Savoy killed his father, as the trader didn't get punished or seen again in the town. After his father's muder, Francisco got distracted and developed mental issues. His mother, unable to bear the loss of her husband, committed suicide a few months later by drowning. Fransisco, now 16 was taken in by the de Gadea family. Fransisco grew up along his adopted brothers Pascual and Roberto.
