Kovothe is an 38 year old Dark Elf who's entire city lives underground. Many years ago when the Black Scourge was invading and coercing others to join him, his city decided to move to the underground to protect themselves. But this only protected them for a few years. The Black Scourge ended up finding his ancestors and enslaving them and forcing them to pray to him. After many years of this his people turned into evil beings who would fight each other and try to kill one another to claim they were the strongest. When Kovothe was born he always felt different, like he just didn't belong. He was raised and trained how to fight as a young boy, but as he grew older he only got stronger. When he was of the age 15 his family sent him to the academy to learn how to be a proper warrior to support his family. The Tuin family were a strong family but they wanted to be the strongest family. When the Tuin family were attacking the Sylphia family Kovothe didn't feel right about this and fled. For many years he hid in the Under Dark, which are the wilds of the Under Ground. He had become a fierce and deadly warrior but he had lost sight of his morals. Then one day when wandering the many passage ways he stumbled out into the Above Ground. The sight to see was beautiful and stunning but the light hurt his eyes for they were accustom to the dark. For months he took his time to get used to the light shinning down. After he could tolerate it he set out on his journey to discover his truest self.

He was born to the Tuin family of the 15th tower (not the weakest family but not the strongest family) at his birth his 2 older brothers Chamras and Mezzliir were fighting the 14th house to eradicate them to move up in power. As the fight winded down Mezzliir stabbed Chamras in the stomach with his sword and murdering him. This saved Kovothe's life as he was to be a sacrifice to their Goddess. He grew up learning to fight the Dark Elf way which is with 2 swords. As he grew and became more proficient with his weapons he was sent to the academy to learn how to become a soldier for his family. While in the academy he was taught about how the Empire of Khorvad invaded his ancestors homes. How his people fought valiantly to defend their homeland but ultimately failed. After his ancestors went into hiding in the underground. Here he started having different thoughts of the dark elf way. Mezzliir discovered this and started fighting Kovothe in an attempt to kill him and protect his families honor but Kovothe escaped into the wilds of the underground where he became animalistic and killed who he had to and need to to survive. Overtime he made his way slowly to the Aboveground on accident while randomly walking. When he walked out he was immediately blinded by the bright light above as it robbed him of his vision till he was able to safely get below ground.
