Velsyra was the first and only child born to the Khalaear family in the city of Vivec. Her parents held a respectable social status within their community. From birth, her parents had an extensive life roadmap laid out for her which was typical of those belonging to the Dark Elven Race. They intended to raise a proper and respectful daughter who would carry on their lineage and continue to raise the family's social status with providing her the most stringent education. While she enjoyed learning about new things, her favorite moments were her time spent with her sword instructor. Fighting was something she was decent at and had fun doing. Most of her other curriculums she was decent at, but lacked in the enjoyment aspect of it. While Vel disliked most of what she was subjected to on a daily basis, she put up with it as she didn't wish to let her family down. After all, respecting and honoring one's elders was practically the foundation of their culture. Though, the line was drawn when she reached the age of eighteen and was informed that she was to be married to a man she had never met before. She decided that that was the final straw. Life would no longer be a path that was laid out for her, instead, it would be something she carved out for herself. And with that, she took her leave in the dark of night with enough mina to keep her relatively comfortable on the road.
