You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
Furrow on his brow Johann sat, moving to lean his warhammer against something only to notice the lack of any immediate furniture, he opted on leaning against the wieldy weapon, it's intricately carve head resting on the mud ridden floor of the tent, his hand right hand gripping the shaft as his bright eyes finally fell onto the Hag.
"My story...." his voice broke the silence growing between them. "Simple man of faith, follower of the Faith Militant, legion of light if you will" he idle motioned with his free hand as the words left his mouth, after realising this did not satify the Hag's request he continued. "What brought me to this....town" he repeated the question before answering "Faith truly, the lord believes something evil lives in the shadows of this shi...." stopping himself from revealing to much he leant onto his hammer both hands now wrapping the shaft, his eyes fixatingonto the Hag, "wait you said you were expecting me?...." the furrow in his brow came back "how is this?....how can one know... for sure that someone can be anywhere, especially in a town like this?" a moment of deep thought flashing over his face "Unless...." abruptly standing he brought his hammer about pointing the head of it toward the hag "You knew I'd be here, because...you are the evil within the shadows." the religious pendant tied around his hammer began to sway unnaturally as the Hag began laughing, hysterically, in a blink the candles extinquished and the room fell silent and dark, in the same blink Johann heaved his hammer round only catching air, with a quick step he moved outside frantically searching the surroundings, finding nothing he took a knee his hammer taking up the same position, head down, he began a prayer a holy symbol clutched in his hands "Embrace your fears, for they hold the keys to your liberation. Let them pass through you like a fleeting storm, and as they fade, behold the strength thats reside"
