Willan was born to a very small clan of wood elves, a clan that, like him, preferred to keep to themselves and not involve themselves in the diplomacy and conflict of larger nations. He was born to 2 young wood elves and was the eldest of his 3 brothers. He was often left to care for his siblings as his parents busied themselves with aiding in the hunting and gathering that kept the clan alive and because of this he matured very quickly. When he was around 14 years old his 3 brothers and many members of his clan were attacked and slaughtered by a large pack of dire wolves. Due to the weakening of his clan, his family was captured and sold into slavery. Being his parents last child, they hid him so that he would not suffer the same fate. Because of this he keeps to himself and lives on the run from the nation that captured his family. He is self-sufficient and refuses to trust anyone, especially those that come from larger nations.
