The Poem of the Lost
[!] Throughout Karosgrad, copies of a poem would be hung at various places for everyone to see by an anonymous writer. The handwrite seems to be put effort into yet still messy.
There was once a kind man
Who came to the world with nothing
But aspirations and a plan
He wished to travel, see horrors and wonders
Yet soon after, it all shattered.
The man fell.
He fell in love with a place, with people,
With unity, He became eager.
The plan grew to ten
And the aspirations thrice
He wished to be a part
To do his part.
He was given a chance
He was given trust
But somewhere along the way
He might have lost even that…
His friends left
His family grew apart
He still tries to hold tight
He was betrayed
He was deceived
Yet he is to blame even for that
He was changing,
He was not the man he knew
He worked hard.
He left his life behind
He left his mind behind
Sometimes even his heart behind
He did his best but he wished he could rewind
‘What if I never stayed?’
Again and again it crossed his mind
He would not have been loved
But he also would not have been hurt
He would not have been given a chance
But he would not have hurt anyone
He would have not disappointed anyone
He would not have lost anyone
He would not have been bad for anyone…
The thoughts stood still
As the man fell down
Left alone standing
With only papers and regret
Left by his side.
I am sorry.
I am truly sorry.
I will do better from now on.
