Coming from another Continent, Askeladd Steelguard begins his mission in a land unknown to him, a land that a while ago no one from the place he came from knew about. To make a reconnaissance, Askeladd Steelguard was ordered to come in dozens of ship groups composed of members of the great Steelguard family and due to a storm the Askeladd´s ship came to sink, leaving only Askeladd alive. There were more than one ship, so it could be that other Steelguards was still alive. Without the guide who led the expedition and would make it possible for the group to return back because he did know the way back, Askeladd Steelguard begins his journey to survive in this new land, because returning to his home was not possible. The mission had failed and Askeladd was alone, but at least alive. The Steelguard family is the most powerful family on the Continent from which Askeladd came. A family made up of masters of the sword, this fame came from a few swordsmen from this family who stood out, making the Steelguard name feared and respected. The biggest reason for the rise of this family was a guy, Lazekan Steelguard. Lazekan Steelguard would have the strength to frighten an entire Empire, being ranked in swordplay as legendary. After him there's his son, Lavadan Steelguard, who would have the heroic rank, just one rank below the legendary, and his grandson, Erun Steelguard, who would surpass both. A few years passed and several other talents emerged in this family until Askeladd was born. Obviously Askeladd couldn't be compared to the monsters that were born before him, but Askeladd wouldn't lag behind many of his countrymen. After the Steelguard family found out about the existence of a new Continent, the family's strategists requested more information about these lands. The mission entrusted to Askeladd and other Steelguards was to only make a reconnaissance, trying to find the existence of other peoples and the dangers of these hidden lands. The mission would take an average of 6 months to complete before they could return home. But a mission that would take months turned out to be a mission that would take years. And now the Askeladd of the respectful Steelguard family would be the Askeladd of an unknown family on this Continent, a nobody. His mission now would be no longer to do just reconnaissance, but to grow his family name strong and make the fear the surname Steelguard gives on the other Continent to be the same in those other lands and also looking for other survivors of that storm. Askeladd trained every day, only resting his body on the days he would dedicate himself to his studies, since he was 5 years old, the swordsmanship that the family's trainers taught him. And he continued training like this for a while until he entered the academy where nobles left their children to train in swordsmanship when he was 16. This was exactly what all Steelguards should do, begin training at the age of 5 and join the academy at the age of 16. During several years, Askeladd studied an infinity of books, till being able to call himself an ordinary member of the honorable Steelguard family. Askeladd would then have a deep theoretical knowledge and experience on swords because of the training. He lacked experience in wars and life-and-death battles. After all, who in their right mind would start a war or even threaten the life of a Steelguard in those lands? After the shipwreck, Askeladd was eventually carried by the waves to Haelun'or. In order to understand what had happened, Askeladd meets some elves who did not refuse to give brief information about the geography of Almaris and its geopolitics. After realizing that due to a shipwreck his countrymen had perished and after collecting some information with the kind elves of Haelun'or, Askeladd takes a boat and navigates the turbulent waters until he arrives on dry land, where he wanders from city to city in order to collect information that would serve to complete the mission given to him. That is until he reaches Urguan, where he meets Clearon Steelguard, his compatriot. Now two of the many shipwrecked Steelguards are together in Almaris in search of other Steelguards in order to survive together in this unknown land.
