Sylvian is a wood elf, born into an Adler tribe, and like most wood elves, he was raised to follow the Wild Path. From a young age Sylvian was always curious about the world around him. When he was only 10 he took to exploring everything he could in his home town, interested in finding every cave and crevice in or out of sight. His constant longing to explore also helped him to realize the god he wanted to follow, Nemglan the god of freedom. This desire also left him distanced from those around him, as he didn't take well to conversation with others. At age 15 he met his first and only friend Melkith, another boy who found Sylvian's way of thinking interesting. They were fast friend and began spending all their time together. One day, they decided to promise each other that one day they would leave home and explore the world together, side by side. It all changed one day in the woods where Sylvian and Melkith got into a fight over where their lives were going. As Melkith got older, he began to get less and less interested with Sylvan's dream, begging to see it as childish and foolish. Fights like these became more consistent, straining their friendship until it feel apart. As he got older, the more he explored he became less and less interested in his own society, and instead was inspired by the world beyond what he had seen and the longing for freedom his patron god represented. And so, when he turned 23, he left his home town and set off into the world, with a strong passion to explore everything around him and seek out adventure in the world. He traveled for years, never quite feeling content as he was doing it alone and without the man he always thought he would travel with. His new goal became to find someone who he could truly rely on, without worry of them disregarding his dreams.
