Colm was born on a boat, and lived on that same boat with his family for 20 years. Then his father died and the family split up, mother and younger sister went to land to live with relatives, and Colm and his twin brother lived on and managed the boat for another 10 years. Colm's twin brother fell in love at a dock and left. Leaving Colm with the boat alone, the boat being very old eventually was not worth the repair costs and so Colm traded it for some travel supplies. And headed off towards Honeyhill hoping to stay for a bit until he can get a new boat. Since he doesn't mean to stay long He doesn't go to live with the rest of his family scattered around the Kingdom of Haense. With little knowledge of current politics or modern events apart from little things he's heard in bars when docked for supplies, he is fairly out of the loop. But honestly he couldn't care less. On the journey to Honeyhill brings us to present time.
