Xalho’ra Keyleth is the secondborn of a set of twins, born in the high mountains within a village settlement that Wyrvun watches over. As the younger one of the twins, he did not have many responsibilities. All jobs that the typical husband would do were taken over by his mother, Demi’rae, since his father Xolh’oa had left the village in search of a safer environment after a fallout with his wife. Xalho’ra, in return, was more in touch with femininity due to the lack of a father. He would take up duties like washing clothes while his older twin sister Auro’ra would take on the cleaning of the house and cooking for him and his mother. Xalho’ra had gotten closer with his sister, and they created an undetachable bond with each other. At age eleven, Xolh’oa would return to the house to take him and his sister to the supposedly better life he had been looking for, but because he left at a young age, it was hard for Xalho’ra to remember his father. He presumed he was being kidnapped by an unknown man. While in the back of his father's wagon, he and his sister knew they had to escape at any opportunity they could to run back to the safety of their settlement. At some point during the trip, the wagon came to a stop, and Xalho’ra and Auro’ra made a break for it back to their colony. They had reached the settlement and saw there was nothing but bits of pieces of what used to be their home. Xalho’ra and his sister rush to see if there are any survivors, specifically their mother. Upon coming up to their camp, they notice a few survivors, but none of them are familiar faces to them. When looking at the wreckage of their childhood home, they realize that their mother is gone. Before they could mourn their mother's passing, they heard the roar of a lesser dragon. They recognize the dragon as the reason for the destruction, and along with the other unknown survivors, they scatter in their own direction away from the dragon. They reached what they figured was a reasonable safe distance away from the dragon. Xalho’ra was saddened, but he couldn’t find the tears to cry; he just sat next to Auro’ra as she cried at the catastrophe. Xalho’ra realized that he needed to be the new person to do the jobs his father and mother once did. Although he did not have many responsibilities, he did watch his mother at work, so he had an understanding of what to do and got to building their home for the next ten years for him and his sister. They continued living in this new area together; Auro’ra continued her jobs from when she was younger, and Xalho’ra took on his mother’s jobs. It was a peaceful and swell life until the roar of a dragon could be heard again. Xalho’ra and Auro’ra decided it was time to move on to a more prominent place with more safety than up in the mountains. At twenty-one, Xalho’ra was ready to take on a new city and new life in the city of Celia'nor with his sister Auro’ra by his side.
