Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Musin are mice with human like features, adapting the mentality and behaviors of the human race, yet still holding on to their rodent features. They are considered the weakest race, yet they are nimble and dexterous when it comes to their fighting style. Musin are runts and are closely related with Ratiki. A long time ago, Musin the Brave, had fought and quelled a ratiki by the name of Stanqolk, but before he could celebrate the victory, he was stabbed as well, causing chaos which allowed the mice to escape from Rat Island. While times were hard, the musin still managed to create the Clan of Musin, creating protection around their kind. After sailing, they seemed to crash into a land known as Eastern Almaris, residing there. It is said that a 'giant' took pity on what seemed to be a Ratiki runt and handed down his strength before he passed, giving the musin longer lives and altered bodily anatomy.

Musin are known to scavenge as much as they can, as well as grooming. They follow an omnivorous diet, while being pacifists at heart. They are idealists with a strong connection with their descendants, as well as 'the giant' seeing all of them as an opportunity to live out tales of adventure and yore. Musin have amazing hearing, but are troubled with eyesight at times of the day. Although they may be nimble, a minor blow could bring their fatality.

Her fur ranges from ash to bordering dark brown, depending on how the sun hits her pelt. She usually wears loose garments and a backpack, filled with as many items as she can carry. In her eyes, there is nothing but beady glossed over blackness. She stands at about 1 foot 9 inches tall and has an average figure for a musin. Not fat, yet not too slim. On her belt, she slings around weapons, drinks, and a coin pouch, all wrapped around her waist in a diagonal fashion.
