You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?) Gulved takes a quick glance around the tent checking for anyone else. "Oh you're speaking to me, sorry was a bit taken back by the smells. My name is Gulved, Gulved Farrowleaf, and I'm a travelling academic searching for the answers to the impossible questions. If you're to be interested in the very beginning of my tale then I'd be so gracious to tell it, I was born to a rather large, poor family in the Norlands, my father, Bordham Farrowleaf, stayed home to raise my siblings and I while my mother, Selwin Farrowleaf, hunted to keep us fed. It was my mother who guided me on my path of knowledge by answering my constant and rather annoying questions of the world such as how rivers know were to flow or how the clouds in the sky move. She'd always go into details of wizards and sorcerers she'd had the great fortune to meet, all about the great and wonderous magic they knew and how each and everyone of us is capable of great gifts if we worked hard.
