You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Gunther ignores the old crone's question as he could not understand what she was saying, instead he looked intently at the moldy bread that was sitting on the table between himself and the crone. Gunther had just escaped from the Orc Slave camp from which he been a prisoner for 30 years. Since Gunther had never been taught how to read or write he pointed at the bread and made a deep grunt. The Crone, with a look of amusement, pushed the bread towards Gunther as she said, "go ahead, you need it more than I do". Without hesitating, Gunther devoured the bread. After devouring the bread Gunther held out his hand towards the old crone and grunted once again. "I'm sorry, that's all the bread I have." the crone said apologetically. After not being provided with more bread, Gunther grunted aggressively and prepared to leave. Confused, the crone asked, "Where are you going?", to which Gunther forced a guttural sounding response, "Bread!".
