You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Rin pauses a moment, then does as he's told, glancing around the interior of the tent as he moves to sit facing the old hag, legs crossed below him. He hesitates before speaking, reaching up a hand in a moment of awe and amazement to touch one of the floating candles before snapping it back down into his lap, looking back to the woman sat across from him. Rin flashes her what he hopes is a charming smile, one full of teeth sharpened by blade and file in the hopes of intimidating merchant sailors into giving up without a fight, and when he speaks, his voice is a touch hoarse from salt air and constant shouting and still, he speaks clear and quick, "My story? I'm sorry to say there's not much to tell, but if you so wish to hear it, I ask for something in return," Rin's slightly nervous smile turns more to a sheepish grin as he places a hand over his stomach, "A bowl of hot soup, perhaps, and a drink?" He drops his smile and shifts anxiously in wait for a moment before continuing, "I'm a sailor, see? Well, a privateer, well..." Rin's sheepish grin returns, looking to the old woman as a child caught with their hand in their grandmother's cookie jar might, "I suppose most people would say pirate seeing as there's not much of a war to privateer in-" he stops suddenly, "Say, you wouldn't happen to be hiring would you? My ship, my crew, ah..." He gestures vaguely, "Well let's say the new captain and I didn't get along so well and when our ship broke on the waves, well..." Rin trails off. He gives the hag a suspicious look, "But you knew that, didn't you? After all, you've been expecting me," Rin begins to grow angry before stopping and seeming to reconsider, and before the hag can respond, he gives a wry smile, "Yeah yeah, you've been expecting me. You gave me that chance didn't you? Brought me here on the waves? I hadn't even been lost on the sea a day and the waters, so calm for such a storm, eh?" Rin chuckles, "You need me for somethin', yeah? So come on, you know I'm happy for the work," Rin puts out a hand, at such an angle that the hag might place her own in it, though not so turned that a bag of gold or a bowl of soup would not sit nicely, and he flashes his sharp teeth, excited, "You've done me a favor, it would be an honor and a pleasure to return it."
