You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Well, that is certainly something I ponder myself too, who am I? and where do this retched life takes me?" My eyes study her and my surroundings trying to understand what it is that is happening, my nose wrinkled in response to the stench of the place. My boots seem to have gotten mud on the sole of them, everything felt too sticky, a bit of a mess. —"I am just a little elf girl that is looking for a bit of fun and adventure" The corner of my lip lifted slightly while backing away slowly looking at the crone from the top of my shoulder. "Nothing too glamorous, ain't it?" The town felt abandoned, nothing like her silver citadel, town she left against her will. "Why do you want to know, madamme?" I plopped down onto the cushion, gracefully enough but still showing the tiredness that the trip to that town placed upon my body. The hag looked at me, inquisitively trying to grasp any kind of context she could get from my words. "Well, isn't it that the question for everyone who meet a stranger in a tavern or out in the middle of adventure?" The old woman responded, before turning off one candle near her decrepit wooden table. —" I knew you, Alliesviel, were coming" My eye twitched, a tense sensation creeped up my body, the hag had a smug expression and I hated it. "If you know who I am then you know well that I was banished from my home" sour notes arose in my voice, the miniscule dignity I had left in my body abandoned me. I was raised to consider myself over everyone, but —"I fell in love with a dark elf, I admit it. And all the teachings that the elders taught us sound nothing more than blatant racism," I sighed and hugged myself "however, it is all gone, it doesn't matter if I was great at the arcana or had a future as part of the citadel mages. It is in vain to think of the what could have been" My arms wrapped my torso, feeling a faint sense of impotence. "I was nothing that important, blended between the other magic students, I had talent that's for sure, but my capabilities and my heart were in different places"
