You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Ashton sits down with his head hanging low stating "I'll tell you the story of my travels they have been short but eventful. On my first day wandering around as a knight I saw many horrors I had never expected. There were many monsters I had learned of but humans they caused some of the worst evils. I saw an old lady go into her home and lock the door but seconds later a group of 3 men came out of the woods to bust in her door. The door held as I approached to confront the evildoers they scattered into the woods. I chased one down through the swampy woods splashing and sinking until catching up to the man. He had a crazed look in his eyes as he stated the witch needed to die over and over again. He did not realize he tried to attack an innocent woman who fed the entire town. I still have not been able to get the crazed look out of my mind. It is as if all he wanted was to cause harm to all he encountered."
The woman sighs talking in a gentle voice "All humanity has its highs and lows. Wars have both and you decided to go to war for society."
Ashton has a tear while barely getting out "But not all of humanity is evil right? How can I go on when all I deal with is the worst of Humanity?"
The woman states "You must be the best in humanity if you see the worst!"
Ashton rises and confidently returns to his duty to protect all that are in his presence. Looking at the moment of emotion as a sign he knows what it means to be human still.
