I walk along the muddied road, my fortune has been strange as of late, some ender men attacked my camp during the night, all my brews and supplies I had are gone... I spent ages making sure it was as good as I could possibly get it, but after my camp had been savagely attacked the skies opened up and it started to pour. It's getting to the point where I feel as if I'm the god's laughing stock, it goes straight down hill but then it's a little bit up hill, like a strange valley of fate... a foul stench tickles my keen nose, a swamp is near by, rotting and decaying roots in a thick green sludge, I know I shouldn't but I will anyways how bad could it be after all? I wander deep into the swamp, the soft mud going past my ankles making it difficult to trudge along but I persist. I manage to make my way to a shabby shack, it looks just as poor as the rest of the swamp but it's better than having my feet in the mud for any longer. I enter the shack and am met with the face of a hag who's seen brighter days "come dearie, sit, let me get a look at you" she creaks, wanting to be polite I do as she says and sit on the first chair I see. "Oh my dearie! I've been waiting for you to show up at my door!" her wrinkled face brightens and she smiles widely before she takes a seat herself. "you've been waiting for me? but how could that be?" my voice is quiet and weak from not speaking to another being for days, I'm nothing like the headstrong woman I was... I take a deep breath in a steady myself, this woman clearly is smarter than most, it'd be in my best interest to play nice and see what she wants. The lady pulls a tea out of seemingly nowhere "tell me your story" she says simply, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell her a thing or two. "I am a wood elf as you can see, I was born and raised in a druid grove but I never actually got the hang of using druidic powers... so I became a healer instead and I was really good at it too!" i say near defensively, my muscles tense but i have to remind myself, this is just a simple chat. "I loved being a healer but one day the druids decided that they didn't need me or my healing abilities... I was cast out, left cold and alone..." my voice has become weak like a small child, begging for it's parents acceptance. "I'm now on the look to find a new home, a new place that can use my skills." I say and put on a strong face, I cement these words into myself and then give the hag a smile, it felt nice to get this off my chest.
