You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
"It's a long tale," I begin, my voice carrying the weight of my experiences. "I come from the depths of the Underdark, a place cloaked in shadows and ancient lore. Raised among my kin, I always felt a pull towards the world beyond, a hunger for knowledge and understanding that refused to be quenched by the darkness that surrounded us."
My eyes drift to the flickering flames, memories swirling within their depths. "Legends of heroes like Drizzt Do'Urden and Liriel Baenre fueled my dreams, inspiring me to seek a path of my own. So, I ventured forth, leaving behind the familiar comforts of home in search of adventure and purpose."
My drifting gaze returns to the old hag, a faint smile touching my lips. "And now, here I am, drawn to this swampy town by fate or chance. Ready to embrace whatever destiny has in store for me, and eager to write the next chapter of my story."
