You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Despite all of his efforts, his journey for resources came to a halt. "Story..." he murmured, mindlessly moving further past the suspended lights and towards the beckoning voice. Blinded by hunger upon his entry, he had initially not perceived a living being, but rather - a pile of incomprehensible wrinkled flesh in front of him - of which, was directly in the way of his conquest for sustenance. The words, movement and curiosity the mysterious old woman exhibited all coincided with a foreign acknowledgment of his very existence that he hadn't even realized he had a longing for up until this very moment. He was broken out of a ravenous haze. "You know me?" he asked, rhetorically, "That is something! Well, since you are curious enough... I will let you in on a story, and something that you may be able to help me out with." He sat down adjacent to the old soul that seemed to have temporarily grounded him in a way that perhaps cooked meat or charred fish would in his current state. "...If you could not already tell by these rags, I am no rich man. Neither is my family." he said. He looked away from the older woman before speaking again. "I have traveled from my birthplace from far, far away... alllllll the way here with my young boy and my two sisters for a fresh start in search of a new business. Taxes had become more than I could handle... back there." he said, sighing. "I have been wishing to become a blacksmith sooner or later... however, I have not got any luck under my belt. If you are able to see my belt, that is!" He laughed. Abruptly, his stomach growled. "And so, I am here- hoping to see if I am able to get my hands on something... to hold- I am looking for some food to feed more than one person." he said, slowly rising back up onto his feet. "You do not look like you have much time left... so, if you would be so kind as to lend me some food, I will then take my peaceful leave..."
