You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Kadir steps forward, his tall frame moving with a blend of caution and confidence. His eyes, though alert, show a mix of curiosity and determination as he takes in the surroundings. As he ducks into the tattered tent, he feels the strange, mystical atmosphere. When the old hag speaks, her words catch his interest, but he quickly regains his composure. He sits down on the cushion she points to, placing his spear beside him. He takes a deep breath before starting to speak, his voice steady and clear. "Hello. I am Kadir Sandshade, from the Viceroyalty of Hyspia. My village is known for a unique martial art that combines combat with the grace of dance. My father was a master of this art, and my mother was a skilled herbalist." Kadir pauses, glancing around the tent before continuing. "I started my training when I was five years old. Under my father's guidance, I learned to use the spear as an extension of myself. My mother taught me the importance of inner peace and the healing power of nature." His voice grows somber as he recalls a painful memory. "At eighteen, my village was attacked by raiders. They destroyed everything and killed my parents. Fueled by grief and anger, I vowed to protect my people and avenge my family. So, I set out on a journey to learn from the best warriors across Middle-earth." Kadir shifts slightly, feeling more at ease as he recounts his travels. "I traveled to many lands, training with Elves in Rivendell, learning stealth from Rangers, and studying combat techniques with the Rohirrim. I combined all these lessons into my own fighting style, which blends agility, flexibility, and strength." He takes another deep breath, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Years later, I returned to my village. I taught my people everything I had learned and helped rebuild our home. Now, our village stands strong and united." Kadir looks directly at the hag, his eyes reflecting determination and hope. "I've come to this town seeking more knowledge and guidance. I'm not sure what lies ahead, but I'm ready to face whatever comes my way. Can you help me understand what path I should take next?"
