You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
* Lyrana quickly shifted her head backward as their eyes met that of the older woman's, seeming startled by their appearance. She paused, responding- "Oh- I'm sorry, I-.. Don't recognize you. I thought this place was abandoned.." Lyrana trailed off, before slightly furrowing her brow. "You've been expecting me in particular?.. Very well.. But I can't stay long." She said cautiously, her eyes darting about the tent before resting down atop of the cushion near to the woman.
"My name is Lyrana Emberglade, though I assume you know that already.. I am the second daughter of my mother and father, Irena and Delins. We grew up in a small settlement comprised of other elves within the dense trees, whom typically kept away from the majority of humanity. We made trade, however did not welcome many visitors, only coming back with stories of outside the grove, as well as books. My mother was a 'naturalist' as some call them, and father a Ranger. As my sister, I was supposed to take after my mother, showing us what kinds of plants were safe to eat, and how to watch the trees for danger - However I tended to learn at least the basics of how to handle one's self from my Father showing my elder brothers how to fight." She stated with a light sigh, taking a moment to deeply inhale again before continuing-
"Whilst I enjoyed what we had at home- I always wanted to see the world, as theres more out there than we could possibly know. So, once I could bear it, and had learnt enough from both of my parents, they finally allowed me to leave home, and search to heart's content." She added with a smile. "So- I plan to keep notes, and have been learning cartography for some time in order to bring back some of the outside world home, once I return."
