You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) The scenery was far from welcoming. Be it the smell, the shacks, or the swamp-like floor dirtying Zylra's boots. But it was nothing they weren't familiar with. They've been traveling for a while now. They went through swamps before, yet they never failed to find at least one good point about these kind of places. As stated before, Zylra went through many things during their travels, yet, this situation was very uncommon. What was at first a curious look into the tent turned into a very awkward start to a conversation. The hag seemed to reckognize them, yet they could swear on their cloak that they've never seen this woman before ! Zylra paused for seemed like forever, first turning around, making sure there was no one behind them the hag could be possibly talking to before turning back to face her. "W- Well uh-" They stuttered, "Do I know you m'lady ?" Zylra uncomfortably shifted around, waiting for an answer they never got. After some time and a very uncomfortable silence between the two, Zylra decided to sit on the cushion the hag just gestured to. "Mhhh... How to I start this..." they muttered to themselves "My story is not all that passionating, you know ? I was born into a loving home... I may have never known my father, but I was happy ! I grew up, just like anyone, learning woodwork and hunting skills, I was destined to have a calm and traditionnal life. But..." They were quite hesitant before continuing, wondering if it was really worth it to tell their life story to a complete stranger. But the more time they spent here, the more they felt safe and at ease. They smiled softly before deciding to continue their tale to this kind yet very silent old lady. "Something was nagging me.. You know, my hair, it's really not a normal color for a wood elf ! Usually only elves having high elf descent can have that type of hair. And since I was little, i've always wanted to find my father, talk to him, ask him why he left... My mother was really sweet, but I could never ask her about how I was concieved. She would only stay silent and go back to whatever she was doing, ignoring my questions completely... When I became an adult, my mother and I had a terrible fight about it, we both said things we shouldn't have... And I decided to pack my things right then and there, leaving everything behind to find my father. To this day, my one and only regret is that I didn't try to mend things with my mother before I left... I wonder where she is now..." The athmosphere was now more gloomy than ever. This story had always been something Zylra was sensitive about... "It has been so many years since I left, and still not a clue... I wonder if I should just.. Abandon this objective and find something more meaningful to do with my life..." They whispered... (I deeply apologize if there are some grammar mistakes here and there, English isn't my first language <3 )
