Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example:
I sit down carefully, looking around, slightly anxious, as i sigh, "Well, it all started a bit ago when i finally decided to leave home for once, and spent wandering from town to town for a long while" I slightly adjust myself on the cushion, "And i met this strange fellow, his name was Matthew. Matthew took me in for a while in exchange for doing chores around the farm he owned. Me and Matthew were like best friends..." *He smiled slightly* "But one day i returned to the house after a hard days work, and he wasn't there. I asked the villagers too, they said he went eastbound, so... I followed him, i hope to see him again one day, and thats when i had rumor of him being here, so here i am" *Looks at the old woman* "Have you gotten any clue where he may have gone?"
Backstory:
(Keep in mind i am not a champ regarding peak fiction, so it wont be too good yet)
He woke up a while ago on the side of the road, he knew he was from very far, but not exactly how far anymore, he couldnt care less, his previous life (To his memory) was one of debt, crime, and bad memories, so he decided to start anew, wondering what the world had in store for him.
