Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Aymer stares for a moment, their eyes inspecting the old hag's form. They slowly find their seat, sitting atop the rough cushion, their voice a mere whisper against the low wind, "My story... It is not one you'll find quite interesting. But I doubt that's the answer you're looking for." Aymer looks back up towards the old hag. They can see the curiosity in the woman's eyes as they continue, " My name is Aymer Evaris, I come from a simple home. A wonderful mother, a caring father. I was a single child, and not only that but part of the only Adunian family within my village. The others did not like me. It could get quite lonely as such. But my parents were great distracters, " Aymer slowly chuckles as they lean back, "They told me stories of clans. Groups of people like us. Spoke of years of travel and past battles. Yet they did not tell me why we lived here, especially when there were apparently such great places out there. I did not mind though, for a while. They still taught me the traditions and values of our kind. And even if the others looked at us with distaste, I knew I still had them," Aymer paused for a moment as they glanced down, "I lived a quiet, peaceful life... But for that my guilt only grows... I cannot return home, for the place I once lived no longer exists. Its buildings burnt to ash and people buried deep in the earth. And now- Now I must find out if there was a way- if there really was a way- for their deaths to have been prevented."
