Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

The young elf maiden takes a seat. "My name is Valenthea" she begins, "I've come from a far away land, fleeing violence and discord. My father was but a humble stock broker. He provided us with a good life in the city, until one day he lost the wrong woman's investment. I was fortunately out at the market when they came for my father. When I returned all that remained of my home and my family was a blazing inferno. I ran out of town as fast as I could with nothing but the clothes on my back. Ever since I've been on the run."
