Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I came from another world," your voice is shaky, the weight of your words unfamiliar on your tongue. "I'm... confused as to why I'm here. My memories are foggy, like a mist I can't push through. All I can remember is my name." You pause for a moment, a heavy sensation overwhelming you as you place a hand over your chest. "But... something else is here. A dark power, swelling inside me. It's like it's pulling at my very soul." Your eyes narrow, and your breath catches. "Do you know why I’m here? What is this place?"
