Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Hello!" Lamun says enthusiastically, ignoring the surrounding rot and swiftly moving to the cushion. "I am Lamun Silvertide, a travelling merchant", he says, gesturing to a large bag sitting beside him, "I'm here on word of unique antiques and trinkets for sale in this town." Lamun glances around, presumably looking for anything of value amidst the dilapidated tent. "I hail from a small town far to the east of here. I am the only son of two highly respected merchants, and have been travelling the world for a few years now, to try to make my fortune" Lamun explains, stopping to rummage through his bag. A few seconds later, he pulls out a number of bizarre looking objects, from a corroded bronze medallion to an ancient sword, entirely missing a blade. "My passion, however, lies in collecting and distributing pieces of history." he says, before picking up and showing the sword to the hag. "This sword, for example, is over 200 years old. It was unearthed a few miles away from my town, and was used in a skirmish against a then nearby tribe of orcs", Lamun says, before collecting the items and neatly placing them in his bag. "Tell me - where can I find this relics of this town?".
