Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until… "I am searching for the old mountains to rebuild a dwarven empire below them. Great mines will span the hills invisible to those on the outside, uncovering the vast riches that lie within the stone behemoths. I was raised in the old north mines and after their take over I had to flee... I hope to one day regain the comfort of those mines, but in the mean time I've work to do." he replied. The old lady stood before him looking deeply towards the dwarf. "I can help I suppose" she says and hands him a box of tinder to start a fire and a small lit candle before sending you on his way. As he begin to leave she calls him back and hands the man a small bed roll. "Goodbye... And be careful" she says as he leave.
