Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Buren sat down in a wooden chair as he spoke "i grew up in a nation far far from here to the north." Buren scratched his chin "ive forgotten the name of it, i grew up there for most of my young life it was a peaceful kingdom, i worked as an apprentice to a blacksmith." Buren looked down at the wooden floor "then suddenly the orcs came before most of us had no idea about the existance of races other than humanity, the orcs came upon us like an eagle swoops down to claim its prey. our army held of the orcs for a time but we were vastly outnumbered eventually our defenses collapsed and the whole kingdom was pillaged i barley escaped with my life i do not know of the fates of my family." Buren dug around in his pcoket before pulling out a little book "i found this book shortly after i ran from my burned kingdom i do not know who dropped it however it taught me everything i needed to survive for years i stayed on my homeland avoiding orc warbands and trying to find survivors. Eventually i gave up hope that i would find anyone from my kingdom it was then that i decided to leave my homeland to escape the constant orc bands." Buren flipped through the pages of the book finding a map of Aevos " i used this map to find my way ive seen things many in my kingdom would consider a part of a childrens fairy tale ive talked to dwarves and elves and ive meet other people as well. Ive spent a year exploring the world and now im looking for an somewhere to settle in ive simply stopped in your town for some much needed supplies."
