Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Sho's eyes, blank as ever, anxiously dart to the old hag.
"my story..?" he responded. "what is a... story?"
The old hag's eyebrows raise in confusion. "you.. don't know what a story is?"
"no I.. I don't know much."
Sho carefully sits down at the cushion the old hag gestured to, blankly staring at the floor the entire time.
"well.. what DO you know?"
"...I know... I know... I know I like magic a lot"
Sho's expression softens, even letting out a faint chuckle.
the old hag breathes a sigh of relief, finally seeing that she's talking to something sentient.
"so, where are you from?"
"...I don't know"
"...where do you live?"
"...nowhere. I don't like staying in one place very much"
the old hag gives Sho a cup of coffee. "Why is that?"
Sho looks blankly at the coffee, his reflection staring right back at him as he faintly mutters the words.. "then I'll get attached to it."
He stands up, dropping the cup on the floor and shattering it.
"ah! what are you-"
"goodbye"
the old hag grumbles in frustration and confusion, grabbing a broom and dropping down to sweep the shards from the floor.
"wait! where are yo-" before the old hag could finish what she was saying, Sho had left.
