Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Angelica Zaila Driscoll's little form easily fits through the opening as she ducks into the tent. She looks around, taking in the untidy space and the musty smell of rotting wood while the candlelight flickers across her face. She smiles at the elderly hag and shifts her weight, making her satchel's leather straps creak as she walks. She teases, "Well, I didn't expect to find someone who knew I was coming." With a casual ease, she moves toward the cushion and sits with her legs swinging above the floor. "As usual, I'm just passing through and wandering. I've been traveling for the past five years. I don't mind the lengthy journey." She crosses her legs comfortably and adjusts her satchel. "I suppose I'm a little strange—a halfling wandering around the world. Contrary to popular belief, I am twenty-two years old. Kind of funny, don’t you think?” Curiosity sparkled in her dark brown eyes. "People here probably believe they've seen everything, yet there's always more left to see. Do you understand what I mean?" As though sensing something outside the tent, she lets her eyes wander. "That's why I continue to move. I’ve seen things that don’t fit in any neat little box.” Her tone becomes a little quieter as she smiles softly. "I've learned to let things happen and just go with the flow. I have a feeling that something intriguing will happen here, but I'm not sure what will happen next. You might be able to assist with it." Angelica leans forward and examines the hag. "I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say. You have been anticipating me, haven't you? (I love writing! <3)
