Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Hello, my name is Saverius, a young wanderer from distant lands, born in a village far beyond the known world." *He sat down, letting out a sigh before beginning to tell his story.* "Since childhood, I was raised on tales of heroic quests and the promise of glory. My father, a retired warrior, taught me the ways of the sword and the honor of a knight. When I turned twenty, I decided it was time to prove myself. My journey began with a simple goal: to test my strength and see if I could truly become the knight I dreamed of. So far, I have fought no beasts or monsters. Instead, I have spent my time training tirelessly, day after day, honing my skills with the sword. I seek neither fame nor recognition, but simply to learn and prepare for what fate has in store for me.
Each day, as I travel, I watch the world around me, searching for signs of what may come. One day, I hope to be called upon to defend someone, to protect those who cannot protect themselves. But for now, my journey is one of solitary training, of hard work and hope, as I continue to ready myself for whatever my future holds. I know my journey has only just begun, and there are dangers I cannot even begin to imagine. But with each passing day, I grow closer to the person I wish to become, and to the sword that, I hope, will one day bring justice and protection to those in need."
