Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Jordan Fairborn sat down at the table and began to tell his tale.
"I came from a humble farming town, but a Higher Being has called me," Jordan said. "I have always considered myself a man of faith, a man who protects those who can't protect themselves. Recently, I have been learning how to fight in combat, with a sword and a shield. I believe I wish to put those to good use."
"I wish to join the Order of the Grail, so that I may serve my God as a knight, as a crusader. I don't know what plan God has for me, where He wants me to go, and what obstacles He will want me to overcome. But I will gladly follow."
