Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Laurana eyes the hag warily with her left foot poised to run if she should make any threatening movements. After a long journey that same day, Laurana is just looking for rest, not more danger.
-"How is it you know me? I don't recall having met you before."
The hag makes no movements unfriendly or otherwise, so Laurana slightly shrugs one shoulder and sits down on a dusty, flat pillow, now looking around the tent in curiosity.
-"My name is Laurana Ardelia and I'm on my way from home heading out on my own in order to try to find my place in this world. My parents are busy enough with my 4 younger siblings, and it's time I left and tried life for myself. I'd like to see what's out there and find a place where I can be helpful for all I come across."
Laurana lets escape a huge yawn, at the same time that her stomach rumbles deeply.
She says laughingly, "But I think at the moment, I would just like to rest and fill my stomach if that's no problem with you!"
