Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

He sat down, his large frame seeming to fill the space. "I had a family, once. A wife, children. Life was simple, but it was good. Then one day, everything changed.
They came, with fire and weapons. I fought to protect them, but I was too late. They were gone before I could reach them.
I tried to rebuild, to find peace, but it never came. I've wandered from place to place, searching for meaning, for answers.
And now, here I am. Not sure what to expect, but ready for whatever comes next. I can't change the past, but maybe I can find a new purpose."
