Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: (delete this) "very well, hag, I will tell you my story." "I was born to an Orc warlord far to the south within snowy peaked mountains. I fought to become chief of my tribe, but alas I was weak and brittle compared to my kin. I failed to slay my brother when the change of power occurred, in our tribe when the chief becomes old, and inept, the youngbloods will fight and kill in a blood ceremony to attain the role of chief. Of course, I failed, but I dishonored my kin, and tribe by fleeing when I was to be slain. I have wandered ever since. I have grown old, at least I should be. But my vigor is still present. I feel young, and powerful. I have much left to give. Perhaps the Gods have granted me the right to remedy my mistake all those years ago..." *I would stand up, and look toward the door.* "I needed to tell my tale, and be it stranger or friend, I am pleased to have ears to listen."
