Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

He pauses, "You say you've been expecting me? I doubt it was me specifically rather than a traveler looking for a place to stay the night. What need have you, of me or my story?" The strange looking elf sighs before sitting down to await an answer.
With lack of an answer for several minutes, he sighs and proceeds to explain a little about himself, he was raised away from society, doesn't really know what culture or clan he's from (the reason for a lack of last name), his parents sent him out into the world without much knowledge of anything other than what he'd need to survive, and some tips about money, people, and some random things he might need to know in the future, thus he spends his days, for about a year now, wandering the woods, until he finally found a town.
