Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Where do I begin?" A hearty chuckle, husky laugh. Almost teasing - then he decides to bite, to indulge the elderly lady with what she wants. Parting his lips, he gives in. "I'm from the Farlands, if that isn't obvious by how I appear before you, but I'm not that interesting in reality. Just a humble traveller. An adventurer. What do you mean you've been... 'expecting me?'" His furrowed brows display his natural confusion, and as he gives her the time to speak; his mind races with the possibilities of why he was expected. "I suppose I can offer you a simple debrief on my origins, I came from a small town off in the farlands where most Humans dare to not visit. I was raised with the crafts in mind, but not everyone wishes to be a blacksmith their entire life. I just wanted to adventure, to find out more about what the world had to offer and that, I suppose, led me straight to your doorstep. These lands are awfully different to where I'm from, the architecture and everything; your civilisation makes mine look almost.. rudimentary." A tooth-filled grin blessed his blemished, sunkissed skin. With a respectful bow of his head towards the elderly woman, he digressed. "So, now that's off the table, what exactly is the story behind you?"
