Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: The young man eyes the inside of the dim tent illuminated by the floating candles. his curiosity rising as his head tilts slightly towards one direction. He takes a weary step into the tent following a few more as he sits onto the cushion, still curious by the floating candles. He takes a deep breath through his nostrils before looking at the person, "I come to these lands seeking knowledge, and wisdom..." he said as his eyes dart across the persons face and stature. "...I come from a poor family with nothing worthy of mention, something of which I hope to change one day... I wish for a kingdom, nay, I will have a kingdom in my name... I've dreamed of it since I was a boy." he added speaking sternly with a hint of anger through his words as they rolled off his tongue like instinct. His hands tightly grip the fabric of the pant on his knees as he continues, "I fought for as long as I remember with my sword, now its time I learn to fight with knowledge, fitting for a ruler." he concluded, sitting up now fixing his posture as he vaguely answered the question, though it was definite where he was headed.
