Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: (delete this) "Greetings, Elder," Eoghan says as he takes down his hood, and his eyes wander about the tent. His brow furrows as if he is confirming that he is in the right place. As his eyes fall upon the elder, he explains, "I've been on this journey for quite a while now, a few weeks, in fact." The young man reaches behind him into his satchel, producing a piece of parchment rolled into a scroll and then tied with a string. "I come from a small village just outside of Norland," he explains as he hands the scroll to the old woman, "I've been sent by our village leaders to travel this long way to deliver this message to you, the way here was most dangerous, but luckily I have learned to brave even the most treacherous wilderness." Eoghan closed his satchel and raised his hood back over his head. "The village leaders are concerned about the number of bandits in our forests, and our chieftain believes that they may be consolidating into a larger, more menacing force. Our leaders wish to know if the gods would favor us in the coming battles, and I have been told that you know how to commune with them..."
