Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Edric Halvarn:
"... Seems you know my face, then. That saves us some time."
"My name is Edric Halvarn, though my name is unknown in these lands it is fascinating that I would be expected at all. My journey here has been long and grueling, yet it’s this place I find hardest to walk through ...a town that smells of rot and secrets... seems many come here to die, in more ways than one..."
(Edric pauses and thinks to himself... the longer the interaction goes on the more suspicious he grows)
"... You say you’ve been expecting me... Then perhaps there are things you may know that maybe of benefit to me. If there is a price I must pay, I shall, however if you play tricks know that there will only be one walking out of here.
(That was the last thing he remembered as Edric awoke in a gutter, confused as he lay there)
