Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Confused, yet inspired by this odd individual- Brio would look away, finding this more likely an ambush than a sincere greeting. Likely finding no such attackers, he would turn back and sit down where prompted. "I must assume you expect a number of people." He found her words more jest than sincere, not believing he had anyone waiting on him to come down here. Brio came down to these parts looking for work, potential companionship, but- starting this experience with an odd woman? Well, there are worse ways to enjoy the day. He took another moment to think up an answer, "Well, my name is Brio. I come from far north. My family has been fairly content with being on our own. I on the other hand found potential for growth by moving on to society, it's not that they weren't enough for a proper life. Contrarily, they have enough firewood and hunting grounds to survive for generations, but that is why I knew their fates align with comfort. I left them in a chilled haven of their own building, to search for a story of my own." His position on the cushion was crossed legs, his eyes on a distant fire within a cabin's window, the warm fireplace made him feel the breeze on his beard slightly less. "Well... you managed to get my story without as much as lifting a finger. Mind returning that favor, ma'am?" A smile replaced his deep thought expression, looking to the hag, feeling more comfortable already from a simple conversation.
