Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"... Have you?" The woman inquired, making her way to the cushion and taking a seat with her hands on her laps. With her small stature, it was almost comedic how she looked sitting there in that cushion, like a toy misplaced onto an oversized couch. "Truth be told..." She began, her voice soft as the breeze, "I... I didn't even anticipate coming here, but I suppose life is full of surprises, hm?"
A blonde strand of hair was brushed behind her ear, a nervous habit she bore in muscle memory even if her conscious one was lacking.
"I... I can't say I recall my story, frankly put. Last I recall... I was with someone, it was cold... My eyes were heavy... I recall a woman reaching out to me, begging me to stay awake a little longer... And then I woke up in seemingly the middle of nowhere," tired laughter escaped the woman's lips, gaze averted.
"Silly, isn't it? An amnesiac with an inability to know who or what exactly I am? I was fortunate to even remember my name... However, I feel like an oddity here. The elves look at me like I'm an oddity, the humans look at me like I'm some exotic animal, and often..." She trails off, shaking her head with a sigh, "My apologies. You asked for my story, not a trauma dump, after all... I wish I could provide you with more information about me; I'm sorry. But... For what I *do* know..." She stood up and dusted off the apron of her dress, extending her hand with that sweet smile of hers. "My name is Saponaria Evergreen, I adore nature, sewing, all things cute... And I hope to make the best impression here. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss!"
