Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
She looks at the hag debating weather to tell the hag the story or not. Taking a breath she steals her nerves and start to tell her story. "I was raised in the great forest by my grandmother, then one day she disappeared." Pausing slightly she looks down wondering why she was telling the hag this, then she continues on with the story. "Thinking she might've gotten taken away by the elven counsel I asked about where she had gone, they told me that they had no idea and clues about where she had gone." Taking a breath she looks up at the hag wondering if the hag really wanted to hear her story. "After much thinking and consideration I decided to leave to find my grandmother, after looking for a year I decided to stop looking and just settle maybe find a guild to continue traveling." Smiling slightly she continues. "It was after this decision I found myself in this town with you in it." Finishing her tale she look at the hag expecting the hag to start laughing.
Instead the hag said "if you follow that path north you should find what you are looking for, I hope you find the adventure you are looking for." Looking at the hag she smiles gently and starts heading north hoping for a nice or even exciting adventure.
