Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until… I respond saying "I came to meet you, I am open to tell you my story." "I came from a small, isolated hut off in the mountains, for a while I stayed there farming and taking care of the livestock. But one day a huge group of mountain dwarfs came. They ravaged our farm taking the crops and killing the livestock as well as everybody I lived with, but I was fortunate that day because I was on a hill observing the wilderness around our farm." "When I saw them, I fled far far away to another remote place where I stayed in a cave for 15 years until I turned 21." "that is where I went to a village and now I am here to explore for those same mountain dwellers who destroyed me."
