Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"i come to this town seeking refuge, a new beginning." i mutter , voice shaken by the rain , yet confident.
"I lived with 5 of my brothers, in a small burrow south of the highlands, we were farmers, drinkers, storytellers, we were happy." My eyes begin to wander, unsure if i should continue on.
"i woke 7 nights ago to my village in ruins, all of my brothers gone... i knew not where to go, only that i had to move forward, so i began to walk." "I felt drawn to the swamp, to this place, im not sure what guided me, perhaps my sorrow led me here, or maybe just my hunger, but once ive gotten my rest i plan to continue walking, searching for my brothers."
