Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Well I've been wandering for someplace to call home for quite some time. Its been all too long since I've slept under the same roof twice in a row. I was raised in a small village, my mother fell ill every winter, and my father's bakery was the only thing keeping us afloat. With my mother growing older and my fathers hands not as steady as they'd always been, it took but one mishap to reduce the bakery to ash. The inferno claimed both lives, and left me orphaned and alone. The lack of food made the townsfolk angry, their resentment towards me grew. They all blamed my fathers incident on me, saying I should've stopped it. I had to leave, so I began my nomadic journey. Money was tight, so picking pockets was my way of life, staying in one town was too risky so I kept moving. I got good at stealing, even learned a spot of lockpicking from a shady locksmith for ambitious targets. As of late I don't know what I'll do. I could stick around, build a new life, make some friends, or keep as I've always been. For the first time in a long time I feel like I have a choice."
