Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

“Perhaps I’ll share…” Haven’s lips curve into a faint smile, eyes glinting violet in the candlelight. “Though I think you already know of my sister, Ashera.” They lean closer, the faint trace of lavender and smoke clinging to their robes. “So tell me, old one… what is it you truly want to hear from me, my song perhaps?” Haven begins to sing
“Survival is my tale,
Ashes where kin once prevailed.
Through fire, through shadow, I remain,
Enduring loss, enduring pain.
Now I walk where others flee,
Through swamp, through ruin, mystery.
I seek no crown, no gilded prize,
But the song the world hides from mortal eyes.
And perhaps…” the melody softens, that is my story."
